The SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO MUSIC and DANCE SOCIETY (SNMMDS) is sponsoring contra dances at the La Mesilla Community Center (two blocks west of the plaza in Mesilla) on the Fridays listed above at 7:30-10:30 PM. All dances are taught and called to live music. Newcomers with or without partners are welcome.  Usual Donation  $5.

Newcomers:  Come at 7:30 p.m. to learn the basic steps you will be using that evening.  Dances feature live music and a caller who will teach, and then prompt the dance.  The first few dances of the evening are especially good for beginners.
