Teaching Responsibilities
She is teaching in Fall 2009 the following courses: two sections of
EE161. If you are student in either
section, you can get to the course through Blackboard.
Work Responsibilities
She is research faculty working with Dr. Jeanine Cook; doing work on several projects including AHPCRC and Project ENABLE.
Research Interests
Current research interests include
software development emphasizing fast data structures,
modelling systems, performance optimization in particular caches,
knowledge base and data base management systems,
and/or graphical user interfaces.
She is involved in the Conceptual Structures community.
She was the Program Co-Chair for ICCS2004;
ran a Workshop on Conceptual Graphs Tools in
connection with
ICCS2001, and Program Co-Chair for CS-TIW 2007 in connection with ICCS2007.
Webmaster
Heather is currently the webmaster for the Faculty Senate at NMSU and the webmaster for the Conceptual Structures Organization
web site. She is also the Chair and Webmaster for the SIG-KM group associated with the
ASIS&T organization. Lastly,
she maintains a mirror web site for the Peirce On-line Resource Testbeds
Project, PORT; in which, is
developing a testbed of tools for Semantic Web and Concept Analysis.

Personal Interests
Heather is a bassoon player for the New Horizons Band, and Mesilla Valley Concert Band. She also does lighting and sound for
some of the theatres, LCCT and Black Box, in town. She is married to Joseph , and they have
two children (Joel
and Becca).
