PATTY LOPEZ

Patty Lopez, elected as an associate member, graduated from the Computer Science Department at NMSU with a BS in 1980, an MS in 1982, and the PhD in 1989. Upon completing her PhD she joined Hewlett-Packard Company's Colorado Digital Imaging in Greeley, Colorado. As Imaging Scientist at HP, Dr. Lopez is responsible for investigation and development of new imaging technologies, liaison to HP Labs for imaging technology transfer of research into products, and convergence of capture image engines for all HP imaging divisions. She has published extensively, has an international reputation in many aspects of image processing, and holds four patents.
