BRIEF BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY
JOHN SCRUGGS

John Scruggs, elected as a full member, graduated from the Klipsch School in 1964 and then went on to obtain a master's degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. His career began as an engineer in the Integrated Circuit Department of Hewlett Packard Company and since then, he has held numerous managerial positions in the Instrument and Manufacturing Test Divisions. In 1992, Scruggs was promoted to general manager of the automated Test Business Unit, which was elevated to group status in 1995. A year later, he was appointed vice president of the group, and assumed his current position as senior vice president and general manager of Agilent Technologies' Automated Test Group in August 1999.
