How to Find Us
Campus Location
The Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is found in two buildings on campus: Thomas
& Brown Hall and Goddard Annex. Thomas & Brown Hall, which is
named for Melvin Thomas (department head from 1932 to 1956 and Dean from 1947 to 1961) and Harold Brown
(department head from 1956 to 1968), is the main building for the Klipsch School housing the department's classrooms, main office,
most faculty offices, the Crosno Study Hall, and several research laboratories.
Goddard Annex, which is named for Ralph Goddard (department head from 1914 to
1929 and Dean from 1920 to 1929), is primarily a research laboratory housing
office and laboratory space for faculty and students.
Thomas and Brown Hall's address is 1125 Frenger Mall
located at the corner of Frenger Mall and Sweet Street, one-half of a block
south of South Horseshoe. Goddard Annex's address is 1100 South
Horseshoe which is at the corner of Sweet Street and South Horseshoe.

Goddard Hall and Goddard Annex were the original home to the Electrical Engineering Department until Thomas & Brown Hall was built in 1972. Today, the College of Engineering Dean's offices occupy Goddard Hall (the tower) and research labs for the Klipsch School occupy the Goddard Annex. The main entrance to Goddard Annex is found off South Horseshoe. Goddard Annex was rebuilt in 2001 for the faculty research laboratory space. |
