Co-Ops & Internships
There is a strong tradition of engineering students taking time away from their formal studies to participate in co-operative education and internships. Students gain real-work experience in these opportunities. They also can lead to job offers from the host company if the experience is successful for both parties.

These opportunities are available to both undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduates may want to use their internship or Co-Op to earn Technical elective credit. To do this, you need to apply for the credit before you go on the Co-Op or internship.
Another place to look for Co-Op and internship contacts is at the career fairs help twice yearly near the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
